The Songwriting Lab
Learn the craft of songwriting in a collaborative community of developing young songwriters.

From your first lyric to your finished song, The Songwriting Lab is a weekly class where you’ll learn the craft of songwriting through guided instruction, creative challenges, writing time, and supportive feedback – all in a community of young songwriters.
Real learning. Honest feedback. Progress over perfection.

More Than a Songwriting Class
The Songwriting Lab is a weekly learning community for aspiring and developing songwriters who want to build their craft alongside others who share their passion for creating original music.
Each week, we’ll explore a different aspect of songwriting – from lyric writing and storytelling to melody, song structure, artistic identity, and creative process – before putting those ideas into practice through guided writing exercises, collaborative activities, and dedicated writing time. Unlike a casual writing circle, every class combines instruction with hands-on songwriting so you’ll leave each week with new skills you can immediately apply to your own music.
Whether you’re writing your very first song or already have a notebook full of ideas, you’ll find practical + professional instruction, creative accountability, and a welcoming community that’s invested in helping you grow.
Because songwriting is something you learn by doing – and by doing it together.

Why the Songwriting Lab?
We believe great songs aren’t written because someone waits for inspiration to strike. They’re written through curiosity, practice, experimentation, and a willingness to keep showing up.
The Songwriting Lab is designed to help you do exactly that.
By learning in community, you’ll not only develop stronger songwriting skills – you’ll gain creative confidence, fresh perspectives, and the encouragement that comes from writing alongside people who genuinely want to see you succeed.
